There are many different religions out there and at the end of the day, no matter which one you practice you can always convert to another. Some do it for love, others do it for change, others just because they believe in something more. Its never to late to change, for that reason the following is about how to become Muslim and join the 1.57 billion number of people who practice the Islamic faith worldwide.
Many people worry if they will be accepted as Muslim after years of devotion to another religion or perhaps due to a bad past and some negative incidents. The truth is anyone can be allowed to enter the Islamic faith, its a religion that accepts all genders, ages, nationalities, backgrounds and any other possible reason for discrimination. The largest group of Muslim people are in Asia, the middle east and North Africa. However the population of followers has increased greatly around the USA and Europe.
There is no course, ceremony or certificate needed to become Muslim. It all depends on you and the strength of your belief. No matter what your past maybe or no matter what sins you have committed you can always make the change, and the day you decide to convert is the day you should begin, never delay. The main process in becoming a Muslim is by repeating the Shahada which is the declaration of faith. With the declaration, one is proclaiming that they worship only one deity, Allah, and that Mohammad is a prophet.
You have to repeat the declaration of faith with complete sincerity and as many times as needed. One can’t simply just say the words however, they instead must feel that these words are unshakably true and with unbreakable testimony. The meaning behind the Shahaadatayn is worship and reverence for Allah, so its an important part of the Muslim faith and it has to be understood and spoken by each person who follows the Islamic faith. By pronouncing the testimony of faith, repeating it, following it, and understanding it you can begin your journey as a Muslim. However there are seven conditions one must follow before they can officially be a Muslim.
The conditions a Muslim must follow and understand are, Knowledge, Certainty, Sincerity, Truthfulness, Love and Affection, Submission, Acceptance and Conformity. All of the following are the most important part of your new faith and are all as equally as important as each other. Once you are familiar with the conditions and have spoken the Shahaadatayn there is a short ritual you must undertake, females normally cut their nails short and trim and excess hair around the body. Men should so the same, and should quickly get circumcised if they have not already. Once the conditions are accepted and you have pledged your devotion and understanding then you are officially welcomed into the Islamic faith and can join the billion other followers worldwide in this wonderful faith. Always be sure to stick to the rules to live a proper life.
